Oggi parte la nuova rassegna di collaborazioni con alcuni amici a me cari. Sono dell’idea che “chi semina amore raccoglie felicità” pertanto condividere la mia passione per il tè con persone che stimo e ammiro penso sia importante, perchè il proprio dono va portato al mondo proprio come ha fatto un amico autore e illustratore che oggi voglio presentarvi.

Mirco Vittorio Maselli, conosciuto sui social web come Emme Vu (iniziali di Mirco Vittorio), firmerà così i suoi prossimi libri. Sposato, ha due splendidi figli che amano anche loro la letteratura fantasy e per ragazzi.

Scrive e disegna storie da più di 30 anni. Ha cominciato come dilettante alla fine degli anni 80, vincendo un concorso nazionale di fumetti a Firenze. Grazie a quel concorso è stato notato e chiamato subito a realizzare le storie a fumetti di Cattivik e Lupo Alberto, cosa che ha fatto fino al 2012.
Nel frattempo ha sempre continuato a disegnare vignette e illustrazioni su molti giornali e libri di fiction e di editoria scolastica.

Poi ha cominciato a pubblicare libri per ragazzi scritti e disegnati in autonomia. I suoi libri che hanno ottenuto maggior successo finora, sono quelli divulgativi ecologici sulla “Storia dell’immondizia” pubblicati con Editoriale Scienza (dove ha analizzato umoristicamente come l’uomo nel corso della storia ha provocato e cercato di risolvere il problema dei rifiuti) e la saga fantasy umoristica di “Hogard faccia di Drago”, pubblicata con Lapis Edizioni che vado a presentarvi oggi e che personalmente adoro.
Assiduo frequentatore di boschi, sostiene di essere il portavoce delle storie che gli detta il piccolo popolo dei folletti…

Mi piace moltissimo lo stile illustrativo di Mirco e condivido con lui la passione per il mondo fantasy e i valori che trovo nei suoi libri. La timidezza di Hogard nell’imparare ad accettarsi e a farsi accettare nel Mondo perciò che è, l’importanza dei legami familiari e di come essi condizionino gli stessi personaggi, ma anche la capacità di non dimenticarsi mai che essere adulti significa mantenere vivo il nostro bambino interiore. Tutti i valori che ho visto in Mirco li vedo in questa bellissima, divertente e avventurosa storia a tre puntate per grandi e per piccini con un disegno davvero piacevole da guardare e sfogliare.
Ma voglio lasciarvi alle parole di Mirco dato gli ho chiesto cosa ha significato per lui realizzare Hogard:

“Questo personaggio rappresenta un po’ la parte di me che vorrei essere, ma che non riesco sempre ad essere, ovvero coraggioso e capace di difendere me e coloro che amo da tutte le ingiustizie che subiamo al Mondo. Non è una cosa facile da fare nella vita reale, quindi cerco di darmi forza creando le avventure di
questo e di altri personaggi che pubblicherò nei prossimi mesi e anni. In questo modo cerco di infondere forza e coraggio anche in chi leggerà i miei libri, ovvero di stimolare la capacità di cercare il meglio che è in noi e di esprimerlo nella nostra vita. Non so se ci riesco, ma considero importante provarci sempre e di sicuro voglio farlo con un linguaggio che sia di speranza ma allo stesso tempo leggero e capace di divertire.”

Ma a questo punto vi chiederete cosa c’entra il tè? Non c’è niente di più rilassante e appagante di leggere una storia come questa con una buona tazza di tè a fianco. Per Hogard, questo personaggio un po’ timido e impacciato che mi ha preso il cuore, ho scelto un tè verde molto conosciuto tra gli amanti del settore, ovvero il Longjing denominato “Pozzo di Drago” ed esistono diverse leggende in merito a questo tè e al suo infuso benefico. È ottimo per mantenere la concentrazione ed eliminare lo stress ed è ricco di antiossidanti. È rinvigorente e fa bene al cuore e diciamocelo la parola coraggio deriva proprio da “core” come il “Cuore di Drago di Hogard”.

Hogard and the Longjing

Today the new review of collaborations with some dear friends starts. I am of the idea that “those who sow love reap happiness” so sharing my passion for tea with people I respect and admire I think is important, because your gift must be brought to the world just like a friend, author and illustrator that I want today introduce yourself.

Mirco Vittorio Maselli, known on social webs as Emmevu (initials of Mirco Vittorio), will thus sign his next books. Married, he has two beautiful children who also love fantasy and children’s literature. He has been writing and drawing stories for more than 30 years. He started out as an amateur in the late 1980s, winning a national comic contest in Florence. Thanks to that competition, he was immediately noticed and called upon to create the comic stories of Cattivik and Lupo Alberto, which he did until 2012. In the meantime he has always continued to draw cartoons and illustrations for many newspapers and fiction and school publishing books. Then he began to publish children’s books written and drawn independently.

His most successful books so far are the ecological popular ones on the “History of garbage” published with Editorial Science (where he humorously analyzed how man in the course of history has caused and tried to solve the waste problem) and the humorous fantasy saga of “Hogard the face of a Dragon”, published with Lapis Edizioni that I am going to present to you today and that personally love it. A frequent visitor to the woods, he claims to be the spokesperson for the stories that the little elf people tell him …

I really like Mirco’s illustrative style and I share with him the passion for the fantasy world and the values ​​I find in his books. Hogard’s shyness in learning to accept himself and to be accepted in the World, therefore that is, the importance of family ties and how they affect the characters themselves, but also the ability to never forget that being an adult means keeping our child alive inner. All the values ​​that I have seen in Mirco I see them in this beautiful, fun and adventurous three-part story for adults and children with a truly pleasant drawing to look at and browse. But I want to leave you to the words of Mirco since I asked him what it meant for him to make Hogard:

“This character represents a bit of the part of me that I would like to be, but that I am not always able to be, that is, courageous and capable of defending me and those I love from all the injustices we suffer in the world. It’s not an easy thing to do in real life, so I try to give myself strength by creating the adventures of this and other characters that I will publish in the coming months and years. In this way I try to instill strength and courage even in those who will read my books, or to stimulate the ability to seek the best that is in us and to express it in our life. I don’t know if I can, but I consider it important to always try and for sure I want to do it with a language that is hopeful but at the same time light and capable of amusing. “

But at this point you may be wondering what does tea have to do with it? There is nothing more relaxing and fulfilling than reading a story like this with a good cup of tea alongside. For Hogard, this somewhat shy and awkward character who took my heart, I chose a green tea well known among lovers of the sector, namely the Longjing called “Dragon’s Well” and there are several legends about this tea and to its beneficial infusion. It is great for maintaining focus and eliminating stress and is packed with antioxidants. It is invigorating and good for the heart and let’s face it the word courage comes from “core” like Hogard’s Dragon Heart.

La trilogia di Hogard ci ricorda di essere sempre coraggiosi magari bevendo sempre una buona tazza di tè.
