Tra pochi giorni avrà inizio il Carnevale!!!

Festa che precede il tempo della Quaresima cristiana viene ricordata per i carri, le maschere, i costumi, i giochi di strada e soprattutto per frittelle e zeppole da mangiare, che vi consiglio di degustare con un buon tè nero.

Si dice che a Carnevale ogni scherzo vale!!! Personalmente non ho mai amato gli scherzi di Carnevale, come i botti di Capodanno, in fondo sono un’introversa e ho difficoltà a stare per lungo tempo nei luoghi affollati. Da bambina però amavo molto travestirmi e ogni anno mia mamma cuciva un nuovo abito per me e ricordo di aver vinto anche il premio come miglior maschera. I carri erano molto affascinanti e i coriandoli colorati cadevano come neve.

Amo molto Venezia, perché è romantica e suggestiva, nella vita l’ho visitata più volte da sola, anche per un corso sul tè. Non ci abiterei perché è decisamente troppo turistica per me, ma è sempre bella da visitare perché è impregnata di cultura e arte a 360°. A Venezia c’è tanto di me, dalla mia passione per l’arte e il teatro, a tutti film che sono stati girati in questo luogo come “Indiana Jones e l’ultima crociata” e “Spiderman – Far From Home”, alle romantiche gondole, quando la sera la città sul canale si riempie di luci, che si confondono al suono rilassante dell’acqua.  Tutte le volte che ci vado mi ritrovo davanti al bellissimo negozio di maschere che sono state utilizzate e create appositamente per il film “Eyes Wide Shut” diretto da Stanley Kubrik e interpretato da Tom Cruise e Nicole Kidman nel 1999. Film che vidi al cinema e di cui lessi prima il breve romanzo “Doppio Sogno” di Arthur Schnitzler.

Passeggi per Venezia e ti ritrovi davanti le opere di Bansky e LeDiesis. Mi piacciono gli street-art e i palazzi secolari abbandonati. L’opera su Frida è bellissima, una donna forte e resiliente che ha attraversato una vita di dolore, a breve ci farò un articolo.

Ovviamente non potevo non portarmi a casa una bella maschera pure io, le trovo particolarmente intriganti e misteriose. Una volta venni invitata a una festa da ballo a Palazzo Grassi qui a Bologna, per l’occasione oltre alla mia maschera veneziana misi il mio vecchio abito da sposa, che aveva un’ampia gonna lunga e rossa con strascico in seta e un corpetto fucsia cangiante, paradossalmente sembrava di essere a Venezia e in fondo questo palazzo si trova vicino alla Piccola Venezia di Bologna, la rinomata romantica “Finestrella” dove mi sono spesso soffermata.

Credo che sicuramente quando cresciamo, siamo più carichi di pensieri e responsabilità e a maggior ragione dobbiamo ritrovare quello spirito ancora bambino che ama divertirsi. Come mi disse una volta qualcuno, ho decisamente molto bisogno di ridere…

Nei momenti difficili come questo, ho sempre cercato di mantenere un minimo di positività, anche nei momenti più insicuri e incerti, perché purtroppo la vita ci pone davanti a continue inaspettate sfide da superare e non sempre le soluzioni sono immediate. Siamo in lotta contro il tempo e l’unica cosa che ci resta da fare è risolvere problemi e vivere il presente.

Credo che la simbologia del Carnevale sia proprio l’avere la capacità di saper ridere della vita anche quando non va proprio come vorremmo, di saperci travestire in un archetipo diverso e positivo che ci dia un po’ di leggerezza anche nei momenti più bui.

L’archetipo del Folle del “Viaggio dell’Eroe” o del Matto dei tarocchi. Il cosidetto Giullare interno di cui ogni tanto abbiamo bisogno per prendere la vita con meno serietà, quella parte di noi che ogni tanto ama fare festa e che ne ha bisogno per fare fronte alle difficoltà. In epoca ancora più antica il Carnevale si celebrava durante le feste dedicate a Dioniso che è proprio l’archetipo del Folle. Dioniso rappresenta l’archetipo dell’eterno fanciullo.

Molte maschere del Carnevale le ritroviamo nelle commedie teatrali così come nei teatri dei burattini, esse ci invitano a giocare con l’arte e a divertirci. Ogni personaggio ha lati di sé gioiosi e tristi, proprio come noi esseri umani.

La Maison Dieu (Casa di Dio) dei Tarocchi Marsigliesi, in particolare i Camion Jodorowsky, di cui vi avevo già accennato in un mio articolo, che tutti conoscono come la temuta Torre degli arcani maggiori, ci ricorda moltissimo la festa del Carnevale.

La Torre si apre per fare posto alla presa di coscienza e alla consapevolezza che qualcosa deve cambiare. Da essa fuoriescono milioni di coriandoli colorati e i due giullari, anziché cadere, sembrano danzare accogliendo il cambiamento con una grande esplosione di creatività.

Il Carnevale ci ricorda di non dimenticare mai di sorridere alla vita nonostante i problemi e di continuare a viverla con la nostra creatività qualsiasi cosa accada.

Tea Carnival

In a few days the Carnival will begin!!!

A celebration that precedes the time of Christian Lent, it is remembered for the floats, masks, costumes, street games and above all for pancakes and zeppole to eat, which I recommend you enjoy with a good black tea.

They say that at Carnival every joke is worth it!!! Personally, I have never loved Carnival pranks, such as New Year’s Eve celebrations. After all, I am an introvert and have difficulty staying in crowded places for a long time. As a child, however, I loved dressing up and every year my mother sewed a new dress for me and I remember I also won the award for best mask. The floats were very charming and the colorful confetti fell like snow.

I love Venice very much, because it is romantic and evocative, I have visited it several times alone in my life, even for a course on tea. I wouldn’t live there because it’s definitely too touristy for me, but it’s always nice to visit because it’s full of culture and art. There is so much of me in Venice, from my passion for art and theatre, to all the films that have been filmed in this place such as “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” and “Spiderman – Far From Home”, to the romantic gondolas, when in the evening the city on the canal is filled with lights, which merge with the relaxing sound of the water. Every time I go there I find myself in front of the beautiful shop of masks that were used and created specifically for the film “Eyes Wide Shut” directed by Stanley Kubrik and starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in 1999. Film that I saw at the cinema and of which I first read the short novel “Double Dream” by Arthur Schnitzler.

You walk around Venice and you find yourself in front of the works of Banksy and LeDiesis. I like street art and abandoned centuries-old buildings. The work on Frida is beautiful, a strong and resilient woman who went through a life of pain, I will do an article on it soon.

Obviously I couldn’t help but take home a nice mask too, I find them particularly intriguing and mysterious. Once I was invited to a dance party at Palazzo Grassi here in Bologna, for the occasion in addition to my Venetian mask I wore my old wedding dress, which had a wide long red skirt with a silk train and an iridescent fuchsia bodice, paradoxically it seemed to be in Venice and after all this palace is located near the Little Venice of Bologna, the renowned romantic “Finestrella” where I often stopped.

I believe that certainly when we grow up, we are more full of thoughts and responsibilities and even more so we need to rediscover that childish spirit that loves to have fun. As someone once told me, I definitely need a lot of laughter…

In difficult moments like this, I have always tried to maintain a minimum of positivity, even in the most insecure and uncertain moments, because unfortunately life presents us with continuous unexpected challenges to overcome and the solutions are not always immediate. We are in a race against time and the only thing left for us to do is solve problems and live in the present.

I believe that the symbolism of Carnival is precisely having the ability to laugh at life even when it doesn’t go exactly as we would like, to know how to dress up in a different and positive archetype that gives us a bit of lightness even in the darkest moments.

The archetype of the Fool of the “Hero’s Journey” or the Fool of tarot cards. The so-called internal Jester that we sometimes need to take life less seriously, that part of us that sometimes loves to party and that needs it to cope with difficulties. In even more ancient times, Carnival was celebrated during the festivals dedicated to Dionysus who is precisely the archetype of the Fool.

Dionysus represents the archetype of the eternal child.

We find many Carnival masks in theatrical comedies as well as in puppet theaters, they invite us to play with art and have fun. Each character has joyful and sad sides of themselves, just like us human beings.

The Maison Dieu (House of God) of the Marseille Tarot, in particular the Jodorowsky Trucks, which I had already mentioned in one of my articles, which everyone knows as the feared Tower of the major arcana, reminds us very much of the Carnival celebration.

The Tower opens to make room for awareness and awareness that something must change. Millions of colored confetti come out of it and the two jesters, instead of falling, seem to dance, welcoming the change with a great explosion of creativity.

Carnival reminds us to never forget to smile at life despite the problems and to continue living it with our creativity whatever happens.
