Ci stiamo avvicinando a Pasqua e cominciano a farsi largo nelle botteghe cioccolatini a forma di uova e biscotti al burro come da tradizione, coniglietti colorati e perché no un buon tè nero alla vaniglia con un cucchiaino di miele.

Oggi voglio parlarvi di una delle mie illustratrici preferite per bambini, Beatrix Potter dove topolini, volpi, tassi e coniglietti, assieme alla passione per la natura, furono di ispirazione per i suoi disegni e i suoi racconti.

La storia di questa artista e scrittrice è stata raccontata anche nel film Miss Potter diretto da Chris Noonan con Renée Zellweger ed Ewan McGregor entrambi bravissimi in questa storia che sembra una bellissima favola.

Beatrix Potter nasce nel 1846 e crea e scrive il suo primo racconto su Peter Coniglio nel 1902. Sono ormai più di 120 anni che i suoi libri e le sue illustrazioni vengono venduti in tutto il mondo.

Nel 1905 l’illustratrice conosce Norman Warne nell’ufficio del suo editore e inizia a frequentarlo nonostante il non consenso dei genitori. Norman interpretato da Ewan McGregor nel film, sarà di fondamentale supporto all’inizio della sua carriera artistica. Purtroppo l’uomo morirà prematuramente di leucemia prima di sposarla.

Quello che ho amato molto del film è stata la ricostruzione di lei bambina e adulta, di come non ha smesso mai di creare grazie alla sua grande passione per il mondo naturale e animale. Il sostegno da parte dell’uomo che ama, che conosce di fronte a un tè, che la valorizza e l’aiuta nell’ascesa verso la pubblicazione delle sue opere. Siamo a Londra in Inghilterra dove il tè in quest’epoca era un rito ormai quotidiano.

Il lutto e la depressione che la opprimono dopo la sua morte e il ritorno alla vita e alla creatività, che le permetterà di ricostruirsi una vita indipendente, acquistando la fattoria dei suoi sogni.

Ogni separazione comporta sempre un grande dolore e un forte senso di vuoto, soprattutto quando un amore è stato grande, ma sfortunato.

Beatrix Potter è il simbolo della forza della creatività femminile, che attraverso la sua bambina interiore torna alla vita grazie ai personaggi che crea e che le hanno tenuto sempre compagnia fin dalla tenera età.

Today I want to talk to you about one of my favorite children’s illustrators, Beatrix Potter where mice, foxes, badgers and bunnies, together with her passion for nature, were the inspiration for her drawings and stories.

The story of this artist and writer was also told in the film Miss Potter directed by Chris Noonan with Renée Zellweger and Ewan McGregor both very good in this story that seems like a beautiful fairy tale.
